Lux Silvertail has never had a normal life. Growing up the Princess of Avalon, the fourth child of eight children, she spends her days riding dragons and practicing her magic. But like all Royals she is required to attend the Academy, a school run and funded by the Randelks family.
With the death of her parents when she was ten, Lux never fully got to understand why she can control the four elements, why she has the last golden dragon and can hear the voices of the elements themselves.
Then a few Royals start to notice her, which is something she does not want to happen, and King Derek Randelk issuing a warrant for her arrest is not in her agenda for the school year. Neither is saving the world she came to hate.
Can her friends help her understand her destiny? Will she finally accept her gifts and what she was meant to do? Or will the shadows finally swallow her.
