"Joey got a girlfriend," Coach Griffin came up questioning from behind us. The rest of the team either 'ooo'-ed or laughed, but I continued with my practice while somewhat impatiently waiting for his response.

Joey walks up passed me and lets out a small laugh. His face turns a slightly pink, "No. Just friends I can assure you."

"Not his choice though," says one of the other guys standing on the side.

Joey rolls his eyes and shakes his head. Coach looks to him curiously, "What? She doesn't go for blue-eyed rich boys with a 4.2 GPA?"

"No she doesn't go for guys with sma--"

Whoever was talking gets cut off by a new, but very familiar voice, "Actually I don't have a type, and we're just friends because we like each other as just friends."

"And she already likes someone else," I hear Joey whisper to himself.
