Hiccup Haddock never fit in around Berk. The son of the chief, he was supposed to be a strong and fearless leader. The only friend he had was Ember, surrogate daughter of Gobber the Belch, whose talent for trouble was only equaled by Hiccup's talent for disaster. He never wanted to be a burden, but people have a way of looking down on those they think are weaker than them.

The others always knew what they were supposed to be, but he didn't have a clue. He wasn't good at anything, really, except screwing up. All he wanted was to be one of them, but until he'd done something worthwhile, that wasn't going to happen.

During a dragon attack, Hiccup shoots down a Night Fury - the most elusive and vicious dragon that ever terrorized Vikings. He believes his luck may have just taken a turn for the better. If he can be strong, like a real Viking, he could rise in their ranks and be the person his father so desperately wants him to be.

But when he finds the dragon, he finds a strength in himself that surprises him more than anyone else - and that's saying something.

As some dialogue and plot is directly from the movie, I should say I do not own How to Train Your Dragon. All credits for that go to DreamWorks and those guys.All Rights Reserved

He could not kill it, he wouldn't kill it knowing himself having one of them as his own, never the less, he was afraid of losing his only best friend, Toothless. So he decided to take matters into his on hands by running away or flying away from berk, not the best move but knowing he was know as the village runt or the Chief's screwup and would always get beat up for no valid reasons by his cousin and his friends, sure he pass every training with a prefect score but he still did not get the respect that he deserve from the villagers. If he so tried to convince them. No one would listen to him. Not even his own father. But he wasn't running away with just Toothless but with Astrid as well. After their romantic flied which also change her view on dragons, and their discovery of the red death, Hiccup was still planning to run away even though he have just finally friended an actual human, he decided to tell her so he don't have to let her worry about him leaving without a word in the next day. When he finish telling her his plan and surprisingly to hiccup and even Toothless she beg to come with and she also told him her reason. Turns out Astrid Hofferson was abused and pressured by her own family. She have enough of it, Hiccup didn't really have yes as his first nor second choice but she beg him until he gave up and let her tag along. What would happen to them?, will this new path that choose was path to a bright future?,will something spark between them? (Obviously). What would the village have to say about this? Never the less hiccup's dad and Astrid's parents would say about this?, how would the gang react? Find out........ A/N:I change the plot so do not refer this fiction to the franchise of this movie. Toothless has always told Hiccup that vikings are cruel, horrible people that kill dragons for the fun of it, and that he should stay as far away from them. But when Hiccup gets caught on a hostile, viking-dwelling island, he doesn't know what to do. The Chief's wife thinks it's unfair to torture a child like this, but when Stoick lays eyes on this boy, he has other plans. Will he and his dragon escape in time? It's been a month since Dragons and Vikings were brought together, now the only thing left to do is train them. Its close to winter in Berk, putting everyone on edge for food. Hiccup, the chiefs son, also the one that brought dragons and Vikings together isn't worried about the snow at all. He's usually the one to take advantage of the snowy weather, going dragon sledding with Astrid and the gang. But when Hiccup, mysteriously falls ill with an unknown sickness, Stoik's worries for his survival in the cold grow. In hopes to cure his only son Stoik sets out to sea to find the right medicine leaving Hiccup in the constant care of Gobber and Astrid. When tragic strikes, and Hiccup is now left on his own, his chances of surviving become small.

When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing. Hiccup was declared Killed-in-Action during a naval battle between the Berk fleet and a fleet of slaver warships. He was called 'Useless' by everyone. People would beat him up daily while those that did not would just watch and not interfere. He could have let Astrid die that night. Everyone saw him push her overboard and were about to attack him but stopped when the wall around Hiccup was hit by a spray of bullet and blood was seen falling on the ground in front of him as he took support of a railing before it gave away and he fell into the abyss of the ocean. Astrid tried to save him but he stopped her from doing so. He was rescued by a ship and survived. 5 years later, Berk is under the greatest threat it has ever seen and Hiccup has decide to whether his personal feeling will determine will determine the faith of his former home or not. All characters belong to DreamWorks and Cressida Cowell. There will be certain similarities to other stories and some inspiration taken from 'To Mend A Valkyrie's Heart' and 'Captain Fury: Pirate of Berk'.
