Tessica Raleigh, after moving to small town Texas from the outskirts of Dodge City, Kansas she doesn't expect much out of the Podunk town. Her family harvests wheat and corn yearly. Her safe place is in the cab of the combine or a tractor. Plowing and harvesting the annual crops. She has virtually no time for a boyfriend at all.

Logan Ray, his dad and uncles run the ranch he's known for his whole life. Sophomore year went perfectly for him. He has no worries going into junior year, except his friends keep bugging him to get a girl.

On the first day of school, she encounters a group of friends that take her in and teach her the life of being a teenager. And in that group is none other than the all-star quarterback, Brody Parker. Brody Parker has one secret that no one knows about, and he'd like to keep it that way. He's a cocky, arrogant, stone-eyed, dark haired living legend in the world of St. Jefferson High School. When Junior year comes along, he meets the shy, sweet Gracelynn Vaughn. And let me tell you, sparks fly.
