Adelaide Brianna Ashenson is not a normal girl, per say. Tall, blonde, and brown eyed—and fiercely protective of her best friend Jase. A little over a year ago, her mother died in a car accident, tearing her family apart. Her dad fled the country. Her older brother ran away to Princeton in the middle of the night. The only person they have left takes her and her younger brother Cody in—their Aunt Carol.

Things have started to go back to normal though. She’s playing baseball with Jase and keeping all the jerks at school who bully him in line. She’s even started playing hide and seek with Cody again.

However, things aren’t normal.

Her family’s been ripped apart and she’s starting to have feelings for Jase that are definitely more than just friendly.

Things will never be normal again.
