In the world of Gleron, you can only let your power decide your survival. One tower, a hundred floors, a hundred bosses. Get to the very top and kill every boss, and peace will rain over Gleron forever.
This story follows Jake, a human that constantly hears rumors of Chaos, the god of gods, planning to command the other gods to destroy humans.
Later on, the demons join alliance with humans and together they'll beat the ---- out of the gods. After hearing this alliance, the gods got very angry and bridged the heavens and the earth together with a tower, that cotains 100 powerful and famous gods. Chaos says," If you manage to reach the vey top of the tower and kill all the gods in it, you may have the heavens all to yourself.
Little did they know.....the top of the tower was not to be rejoiced for.....because it was not only a trap.....but actually suicide, a deathtrap.

Most of the basis for this story came from them, but I did all I could to make my story a departure from a lot of the major events that happened within all of the MCHC series. Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others). Welcome to fantasy amateur hours! This is my first time writing that kind of novel. Hopefully there's a bit of improvement along the way. Feel free to tell me what works or not! I knew it... coming to this expedition was a big mistake. I don't want to die... what's worse is I might get eaten when I'm dead. Hopefully I won't get eaten alive. I'm just a common grim reaper. For a god of death like me, dying is not a part of my résumé. Once a god dies, there is no reincarnation, there is no soul, and there is no second chance, just oblivion so... The world's war against dragons has been going on for generations, but no one knows why they fought. After years of fighting a new species emerged, shapeshifters. They were able to shift between a dragon and human form, making them impossible to find. Everyone referred to them as halflings, half dragon and half human. They were said to have wondrous abilities ranging from an armor like pelt to healing powers. These abilities made them prized creatures and wanted across all lands. Those that were discovered usually ended up as pets or fighters in arena's. After five years of their existence they all went into hiding, fearing what the humans did to those that had been captured. They were taught at a young age to never show what they could do to a human, as it would lead to being caught and possibly killed. There were small sanctuaries in each town, though they appeared to be normal hotels or orphanages. And this is when our story takes place....
