At the age of nineteen, Iskra’s commanding officers—and only form of guidance she’d ever had—died, leaving her with a base full of children and more responsibility than she should have to shoulder. Stranded in the middle of the desert, caged in a forgotten underground military base, the children of Training Camp 19 were forced to grow under their own shoddy supervision, unable to contact outside sources for either aid or knowledge.
