Humanity’s in the middle of a war and, for all the residents of Training Camp 19 know, they are the only ones left to fight it. At the age of nineteen, Iskra’s commanding officers—and only form of guidance she’d ever had—died, leaving her with a base full of children and more responsibility than she should have to shoulder. Stranded in the middle of the desert, caged in a forgotten underground military base, the children of Training Camp 19 were forced to grow under their own shoddy supervision, unable to contact outside sources for either aid or knowledge. With no one having sought them out for a little over three years, will Iskra and her crew face the horrific fact that humanity’s either forsaken them or been wiped out completely? Or will this—and every worldview they’ve ever held—be disrupted by the drop of a pin?
