It's Albus Potter's first year at Hogwarts and he's got a whole lot more challenges to face than he first thought he might. First, he's faced with the biggest decision of his life so far: a choice about where the Sorting Hat should place him. Gryffindor or Slytherin? Safety or risk?
But even after he's navigated his first hurdle, Albus has still got more to face. With the massive back-lash against Purebloods that occurred after the Second Wizarding War, purebloods like Albus's new friend Scorpius Malfoy have it hard at Hogwarts. Finally, the oppression of Purebloods is beginning to get some notice, but not necessarily for the right reasons. When a new group of Pureblood anti-opression activists pops up, will Albus be able to juggle what is best for him and what is best for his friends?
