Kevin is not your average 17 year old boy. He and his little brother Pete live the most extraordinary life, with equally extraordinary (and clumsy) dragons that have been watching over them since the day their parents died in a fatal car crash for six years in the depths of the forest. And nobody knows about them, which is just fine in their opinion.
Unfortunately, some secrets are just too big to keep, and when lumberjacks disturb their quiet life in the woods, the boys are unable to disappear like their big green guardians, who, if they don't get back to in time, will risk being found as well. The race to get home brings unexpected blessings: a family for Pete in Grace and Jack, and a friend for Kevin in Ayodele, a seventeen year old girl whose history may be more entwined with his than they thought possible. Their bond grows closer, as does Pete with Grace, but they are torn by a choice: a life with them, or the only life they've ever known with their dragons?

One growled madly like an angry lion and yelled "You can run away little kiddies but you can't hide forever" and with that we heard gun shots and curses but little did they know, we were already out the door..... A boy named Aiden King is living his normal teen life when his dad suddenly takes him, his cousin, and his uncle for a hunting trip in the forest. The trip takes a few wrong turns, and the four of them decide to head back. After a month passes, however, Aiden's dad decides that they should go back to the forest for a do-over. As Aiden expected though, the trip goes wrong once again. Only thing is, he didn't know that it was going to be worse then any of them could've imagined. When all the drama from the trip dies down a little, a certain someone is forced to stay with them. After a couple of days, however, this "someone" shows no sign of leaving. Then Aiden makes some friends who wouldn't exactly be considered normal in the eye of humans, and -with some of his friends from his high school- goes on a journey that nobody knew would be possible.
