"Sign the contract or your parents die," he growled at her. His powers faded a little more, each second he used them to restrict the girl's parents.
Elaina looked from the terrifying man to her parents. They were afraid but tried to be strong for her.
"Elaina, baby, you don't have to do it. Your mother and I have lived long enough. We'll be fi--aah!"
"Dad!" she cried out. The black ring around his neck tightened and was now choking him. Pained groans came from him as blood started to drip down his neck.
"The contract. Now, Elaina!" The frightening man barked at her.
Tears streamed down Elaina's mom's face.
"Don't do it baby, we'll be fine! Just leave!" her mother yelled.
A growl came from the mysterious man. The ring on Elaina's mother's neck suddenly tightened and blood started to run down her neck.
"Five seconds, Elaina. Five," the man growled in a raspy voice.
Elaina felt even more panicked than before and her mind suddenly went blank.
"Four."
Her parents were telling her no, but she couldn't let them die.
She picked up the pen.
