You lived in the underground for almost all of your teenage years, trying to take care of your father who was slowly dying while trying to deal with the fact that your mother was already gone. The only time you ever smiled was when you heard the familiar noise of the 3DMG maneuvering gear above you, and you would look up to see the 2 men and one girl talking between one another. One day, it just so happened that he helped you, and from there everything started to change.

After turning 16, you ran away from everything. Your father, and the people that had brought you that tiny piece of happiness. You managed to sneak out, and began to train to become a soldier to fight the titans.
