TENNESS BARACK is twelve years old, and coming fast to a certain number of age. A thirteenth birthday is a very important event for the Baracks--it's the day when they inherit their savvy, a special ability that enables them to do things that others can't. It can end up fanatical and amazing, and can likewise become shocking and destructive; and every family member knows it. For Tenness, his time bomb is just around the corner, a mere week away.
However, before Tenness can brace himself for what is it come, his brother learns a secret that had been kept away from him--and the rest of the family. So tension is high when their car breaks down on a family drive. Saved by the last family expected--and the last family Tenness's mother wanted to meet again--the Baracks spend the night so they can get repairs in the morning. As Tenness tries to help clear the air, he's hit hard with his new savvy--and now nobody can understand a word he's saying. Great. How will he be able to help his mother forgive herself for her past, without being able to communicate to anybody?
Based off of Ingrid Law's heartwarming tales of the Savvy world, this new series brings back the wonder and magic that had been brought from the O'Connells with a new set of characters and wild twists with not-so-distant connections to the O'Connell family, and not-too-far similarities as well...
