After Kageyama was chosen to be Karasuno's official setter , Suga's self esteem drops. Not wanting to cause his friends any concerns , he bottles it up and tries to ignore the little voice in his head that whispers , "you're not good enough" every minute of every day.
Being ignored constantly by coach Ukai , having to stay on the sidelines watching the other 3rd years playing and not being able to feel the happiness of contributing to a win , has left Suga desperate for relief , and he found it, well , them.
Soon he found happiness in seeing the thin lines on his pale thighs , he though that by not eating he would lose weight and be more agile and mobile in game. Nobody suspected a thing , he hid everything behind a mask , until one practice where everything went wrong.
