I didn't want it to end like this. I had always expected to die in a hospital bed, surrounded by friends and family, and not in a damp dark dungeon being beaten to death courtesy of my arch nemesis. My vision blurs as I look up at her grinning face. "You don't have much time left Siren!" She cackles in glee as she bludgeons my abused body with a rusty crowbar. I can feel my life slip through my fingertips as I sink into a cold and unforgiving sleep.

All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile.
