I wrote this originally for novel study in my English class. But I decided to extend the story in to pretty much The Death Cure in Newt's perspective; what his mind and him went through during the entire journey almost up until page.250.
Since I think there were not enough scenes of Newt and his thoughts (there could never be enough tbh), here it is.
A story written in the style of a journal, if Newt did carry one from the beginning of the third novel.

Inception: A Newtmas Fanfiction
[EDIT 1] My work is currently undergoing some revisions. I wrote this 5 years ago, and needless to say, some of the dialogue, scenes, wording, and overall feel is quite childish. Not all of it, but some of it. I've decided to revisit my original first story and make it better. The story is definitely much more mature now, and I think everyone will enjoy it better now that the tone has changed to fit the melancholy nature of my story. Thanks in advance. If he succeeds, Thomas and his fellow gladers will have succeeded in bringing back a long lost friend. But a dangerous enemy anticipates his every move.Complete
All I Want ~ Newt x Y/N
Being the first girl in the maze came with its own set of challenges... Including falling in love with a boy, meeting old friends and saving the world. This is a Newt x Reader fan fiction. I don't follow the book series or movies exactly, some things are changed around to make since for the main character (y/n). I am also combining all 3 parts into one big part. This is also my first fanfiction that I am actually seriously writing. I'm a little nervous about it. I hope you guys enjoy it! Please leave any comments and vote if you want! I appreciate it so much!! 💕 Enjoy!! ~I don't own any of the characters in this book besides Y/N all credits go to James Dashner~ Best rankings: #2 in ThomasBrodieSangster #47 in NewtFanFic #80 in Thomas #266 in DylanObrien #309 in NewtComplete
The Misfire:Book 1 (Newt || A TMR Fanfiction)
To say that the Gladers were extremely confused once they realized who was sent up in the lift this time, was a complete exaggeration. The gladers disregarded any suspicions with your arrival, as they thought you were just another mouth to feed. After all, YOU were only the 2nd girl to be delivered into the Glade. Much like everyone else, you were just as confused and lost. With no memory before waking up in that box, the only clue to all this chaos was a vague writing in your arm, no knowledge who wrote it and what it exactly meant. In this seemingly hopeless place, will your arrival make a difference? Or will you just make things even worse? [NEWTXREADER] -currently editing the entire fic as of 2022 since I have plans on changing into Newt x OC. Not sure though. 📍A/N: This fanfiction is more likely to stay true to the movie than the movie was to the books.Complete
The notebook of a flarus boy
[COMPLETED] It's over. The gladers finally made it to the safe heaven. But at a terrible cost for Thomas. He lost the boy he loved. But one day, Minho came to see him to give him something. Something he will read everyday just like the letter Newt gave him before dying. *Hi everyone! Yes, I know, another Newtmas book! But this one will be more center on Newt. My idea is based on the audiobook that James created and came out few weeks ago. Although I didn't read it yet but I want to create my version. if something is very similar to his work, that was not planned. So if something like that happen, I give credit to the creator James himself. SO JUST TO REMIND YOU ITS A SHORT BOOK SO THERE ARE NOT MANY CHAPTERS.*Complete

They finally got to the safe haven. Fortunately, Newt survived and Teresa survived. Thomas starts acting stranger and more distant every day. He gets some memories back from before the maze and remembers about the supernatural. It's even scarier - what he's going through - because he recognizes everything that happens. There's a voice, whispered riddles. Whispers by the same, old, rusty voice. Thomas doesn't tell anyone. He tried to, but something stopped him from talking. The nogitsune is in control again. And he will make everyone suffer for it. Trigger warning!!! Read with caution: this contains (mentions of) suicide, suicidal thoughts, a lot of angst, death, character death, scars, (mentions of) self-injuring... What if?
What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...) I do not own theses characters, they are from The Maze Runner franchise. I'm French so sorry if there are some mistakes. Hope you will read and enjoy this fanfiction! /!\Newtmas/!\Complete
