"Wait!" She exclaimed, stopping them dead in their tracks. Their eyes fell on her, unnerving red glares and glinting, pointed teeth bared at her in resentment. They were monstrous in appearance, and their very presence screamed deadly.

The look almost struck terror into her heart. Almost.

Before she could give herself time to think it over, she made the single impulsive decision that would change her entire life forever.

"Please," she begged, "take me with you."

Silence met her words as they considered her. She felt her hands shaking, but not from fear. No, she did not fear these figures in front of her. They were not the real monsters.

They were the victims.

It took only a moment for an answer to reach her.

She put her forehead against hers as she whispered "You're just like a rose, beautiful but when you come too close you sting, not wanting others to see the pain behind your beauty. But you know what, I'm not scared, I won't give up on you no matter how much you make me bleed."
