(Aside: I'm not an author, nor am I really trying to be super-talented. I'm also not horribly familiar with writing in the first person. I simply wanted to mix together some themes and experiences from life with the love I have for MMORPGs and the whole trope of people finding themselves stuck in a video game. I'm making this up as I go, so I hope at least one person will enjoy the ride.)

The Pokemon World is much smaller than it seems to those who inhabit it. As they are mercilessly thrown into a challenge past the border, our heroes begin to question and discover the dystopia they were born into, as they find themselves on the verge of a disaster that could destroy everything they know... I had trouble sleeping that night. I was conflicted. Why would someone be hunting in woods with no game? My mind was telling me not to go back. "Someone was out to get you, why would you go back? You're smarter than that. You were in a clearing; they clearly saw that you were a person and not an animal. Stupid. You're stupid," it said. My curiosity said otherwise. I planned on going back next week. I needed to convalesce for a while after my little excursion. I got up, took some sleeping medication, and drifted off to sleep.
