In my dreams
there is a bird and a painted blue sky
and how it flies free

But my mind, as a paintbrush
paints the sky black
in the thoughts that pain me

The bird falls and there is ink
and the words of a poet
dive deep into my soul

My thoughts
crush the hearts of others
yet I do not know.
