Carlie Bennett, Jamie Bennett's granddaughter, wakes up one morning to find that Jack Frost has written on her window. Then, after becoming close to him in a year, she dies--but her family can still see her. Carlie isn't like Jack, North, or any of the other Guardians though. She's just a spirit. Of what? She doesn't know. But Jack gets himself into trouble again, more than usual, and someone even more powerful than Pitch Black appears, seeking revenge on them all.
