The Empire... that's what all their enemies called them. Swelling masses of death followed them everywhere they go.
Merlot was a man of misfortune. He always came second to everyone and had to share everything with his brother, even the women. But behind that he was still trying to live up to his family's expectations. In his mind, he could be greater than Crimson. He just had to find a way to be.

Crimson is a man of revenge. He has lost everything; his job, his lover, his home. Being in prison for so long altered everything in his life, but one thing stayed the same: disaster. The best thing he knew to do was spread devastation and he knew exactly how to do so. He had a plan. They would pay. They would all pay for destroying his happiness one by one. Behold, the Crimson Men Assassins were born.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
