Every year, 600 willing participates from around the world fly to an anonymous island to fight to the death. Only one team can remain standing. The reward? 1 million dollars... per kill.
Liza King was one of the first to secure her spot, and one of the most prepared. An orphan since the age of 4 and a highly decorated marine, she has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Ashton Irwin, on the other hand, lost his family only one month prior to the competition. He sent in his application with shaking, tear-covered hands. He, like many others, entered out of sheer grief. A kind of grief only blood can cure.
