Amber Eyes

She continued to walk, through the tall grass and the small flowers, through the ladybugs and grasshoppers. A butterfly flew in front of her and landed on a flower, just before she heard something. She turned around, and there, standing in the shade of the forest, was a wolf. It stared at her, and she didn't know whether to run or to stand there. She then saw it walking into the forest. She started to walk forward, and as she did, the wolf seemed to walk forward too, slow, so she wouldn't lose the wolf. It disappeared behind the bushes. When she turned around the bushes, she saw the wolf, but it was now wearing clothes. She was starting to wonder if the whole thing was a dream, so she pinched herself, but it was real. The wolf then seemed to take a human form, as the once fur-covered paw was now a hand. Her eyes widened. The wolf wasn't a wolf anymore, but a boy, about her age. He walked forward, and she finally was able to look him in the eye. His black, messy hair seemed to fall effortlessly over his amber brown eyes, which almost glowed in the dark forest. "Keep this a secret, ok?" He said, as she watched the boy walk to the forest path, and he then turned around to her, "Are you coming? You should probably get home, Vivian." She them looked at the sky, the fading pastel colors showing that it was sunset. "C-coming!" As she ran to the boy, she couldn't stop thinking about what she just saw. After all, he was one of her classmates, why would he want to tell her about his secret?
