What would you do if you woke up and stared down at your own body? When Faye Williams wakes up from a car accident, she sees something that she shouldn't; her own body, sitting bloody and barely breathing in the driver's seat of her car. Disconnected from her body and desperate for help, Faye stumbled through town, looking for someone - anyone - that would help her. The one person that heard her pleas for help? Greyson Winters, the friendly star-athlete of the school. Upon discovering a mysterious book and running into more trouble, the teens now more than ever seek the truth about what they are and what it means for their futures.

On a night where the sky seemed to be missing stars Lucy Ridge drives home after an exhausting day at work. Before she knows it she's clashing with the car in front of her launching her into the afterlife. She wonders how this could have happened. She was always kind to everyone never conjuring judgement. Never holding up a facade against the world. Lucy's life put to a halt too soon. If only she hadn't looked at her phone. If only her life lasted a bit longer. Now for some reason she's stuck looking at the aftermath through a two way mirror. Her pain resonating in the way she isn't able to tell her boyfriend, Jamie, it isn't his fault. Or in the way she can't tell her parents they'll get through it together. All that's left are the stars of a million little pieces of glass shimmering in the air.
