This story is set a year on from Transcend and takes up Zephyr's journey. Zephyr's life has not been easy since she came home from school when she was six to find her mother gone. Not just gone to the mall, or to the movies, but gone forever. Now at nineteen her mother is back but it's too late. Zephyr is ready to find love in her life and she's not going to risk her heart on someone likely to disappear whenever the feeling takes her. Instead she has set her sights on the most dependable person in her life, James Ridley. Unfortunately, Ridley also happens to be her English teacher.
