When Castiel is one of the only uncolored kids in his school. He meets a new boy named Dean and sooner or later find out their soul mates by color.
Everyone human is born black and white, once they find their soulmate they become colorful from touch. As they get closer they become more colorful.

That student ended up being Castiel, the angel who saved Dean but did not restore his eyesight to normal.
