380 years the Moon Goddess decided to punish us. The reason was because of our ancestors who lived before those 380 years. They sinned greatly against their mates. They lost their virtue, their heart, and their bodies to those other than their mates. Many rejected their mates and blamed the Moon Goddess for making mistakes. The Moon Goddess was seen as an enemy of the werewolf people thus they cut down her tree, severing the bond between her and the werewolf people. She gave us a memory. She gave us a curse, calling it a blessing because it was what the werewolf people wanted. From then on the werewolf people were able to choose who they wanted and loved and could mate with anyone they chose to. The mate bond was still also there. The only thing that changed was the fact that you could NEVER EVER be or mate with your mate.
