"No! I don't wanna hear a damn thing you gotta say. You betrayed me!" I said as I snatched my arm away and stormed out without turning back. I got into my car and looked at the scratch in the mirror. As Monte trailed behind me, I quickly pulled out the parking lot and sped home. When I got home, the neighbor was outside on the porch again. He waved, but I couldn't find the strength to wave back and ran into the house before I completely broke down. As soon as I closed the door, I slid to the floor and cried my eyes out. About 5 minutes later, there was a knock on the door. I stayed where I was, thinking it was Monte outside. "Miss?" I heard from the other side of the door. I got up and tried to get myself together the best way I could at the moment and looked out the peep hole. It was the neighbor.Complete

"Breathing. Something I've always known how to do, yet sometimes it seems impossible. I sat in the passenger seat of a red convertible Mustang. The car belonged to my... would you call him my owner? I sat with my knees pulled up to my chest, I put my hand on the window of the car, wiping away some of the fog. My father and the guy who had just bought me, shook hands, finalizing the arrangement, as they stood on our front porch... or could you even call it that? The rain came down making it hard to see. Yes, breathing. Everyone knows how to do it, but it's normal for someone to forget how to, right? Right now, I felt as if my lungs had been ripped from my chest... or was that just my heart? My buyer ran from the porch, covering his head with his jacket. He stepped into his Mustang, and pulled it into reverse. Then with a simple movement, he turned the vehicle around and headed down the drive. "Oh I..I'm I'm..?" The words wouldnt form. I backed up slowly as he cocked his head to the side, confusion on his face. Then he did the last thing I expected, he smiled. A face splitting smile that sent shivers down my spine. This was it I was going to die. I hit some kind of nerve and sent him over the egde. I closed my eyes preparing myself for the worst. I opened them to see him coming towards me. I backed up until I hit wall behind me. He kept coming until he was inches from my face. He slammed his hands on either side of my head, blocking any exit. I kept my eyes on anything but his face. "I'm.. I didn't..please" What happens when the new guy in school is a convicted felon? Sadie is a good girl but she gets lost in his troubled past.
