Rowan Bowill was twelve the day her parents were taken. Six years later, she's grown up an orphan alongside her three best friends in the Forest of Gafora, the hundred thousand acre wood located in the center of Forentor. All Rowan has known is the evil and wickedness that has plagued her country since the Dark King ruled, but a new Queen brings new hope to the kingdom. Though it seems Forentor is on the rise, everything is not as perfect as it seems. There is a darkness still plaguing Rowan's home, and she, along with her friends, a band of gypsies, and several other unexpected companions, set out to end the imminent war that is brewing and save the only home Rowan has ever known from destruction.

In the glittering kingdom of Aravelle, love is a dangerous game. Princess Seraphina has spent her life trapped behind palace walls, her every move dictated by duty and politics. When she meets Rowan, a loyal royal guard sworn to protect her, their connection is instant, powerful - and utterly forbidden. A princess cannot love a soldier, especially when a cruel prince seeks her hand to secure the crown. As their secret romance blossoms beneath the ancient willow tree, whispers of betrayal spread through the court. When their love is discovered, Rowan is branded a traitor and sentenced to death. Desperate to save him, Seraphina strikes a devastating bargain: she will marry Prince Dorian to protect the throne... and Rowan will be spared, but exiled forever. On the day of her wedding, as Rowan is dragged to the borders and Seraphina is bound to a loveless union, the lovers share one last, heartbreaking glance - a silent promise of "always." Years pass. Seraphina becomes queen, ruling beside a husband who hungers for power and blood. Rowan, hardened by exile, fights to survive while clinging to memories of the woman he loves. When rebels rise and the king plots to kill Seraphina, Rowan returns to the palace, risking everything to save her. But fate is cruel. As swords clash and kingdoms burn, Seraphina must face the ultimate choice: her crown, her people, and the love of her life. In a world where duty and desire cannot coexist, someone will pay the ultimate price.

Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: Warning: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent, with long-winded introspection and a major, major slowburn romance. Read at your own risk lol. Also if you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way.

Rowan Irvine had always been told she was childish. Her room was lined with stuffed animals and drawn-on walls. But the summer of her senior year Rowan's parents decide to move to a "sweet little town in the middle of nowhere". With a town, new home, and no friends she thought she'd have to leave her childish ways behind and grow up. Be helpful, no more made up creatures or stories or adventures. But "middle of nowhere" meant by an enormous, looming forest. And "sweet" meant the town held more secrets than it's residents. And "no more stories" meant Rowan was about to become part of a story more dark and dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Perhaps more than she ever wanted to imagine. [This is a little experiment of mine. Hope you all enjoy! From now on, updates Sundays & Wednesdays. Formatted for mobile, so some spacing might look a bit weird on computers.]
