Audra is inexperienced but longs to be a cartographer, and finding a master to teach her will be hard enough, but first she has to convince a King to divert his armies from a desperate battle to save her city, her home and her family. She strikes a bargan when she is chosen out of desperation to lead a band of male adventurers and warriors, through the veiled mountains and terrifying and trackless catacombs back to her city. She must succeed, or all she loves will be destroyed.
