You may be thinking "Don't you think that a deserted place is better than having so many people?" To answer your question... No it isn't. It has its ups and downs but now that everyone I once loved are either zombies or dead...dead dead. I feel lonelier than ever. Yeah I have the 4 most important people in my life but everyday I look at what Jack and Brittany have. Always laughing and loving together like with everything going on with having to shot their own fucking parents, to having to keep themselves, Nil, Ethan, and me safe.
I lost a lot after the zombie-outbreak...my parents, friends...everything.

Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. That is all I can tell you for the moment Lexi, but know their are people waiting for your arrival, and we are waiting for you to end this suffering race." The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit.
