Elena liked Liam the first time she laid eyes on him. He was fun, he made her laugh, and he seemed so carefree. Very much unlike herself. She fought depression on a daily basis and worried about everything. They were raised completely differently, and seemed to be completely different people. Elena smacked him again for good measure. She knew she was going overboard but she was so damn irritated with him she couldn't help himself. Why did he have to be so mean for no reason?
His face hardened as he gripped her arm. She winced and looked away. In a low growl, he said "smack me one more time and see what happens. I'm about ready to burn your ass up."
She could feel the heat rising to her cheeks and knew he could see it too. She wanted so badly to tap his arm just the tiniest bit just to prove she didn't have to listen to him. But she knew what would come of testing him, and nine times out of ten, it didn't go her way. She knew what just his hand could do to her bottom. And she knew he wasn't afraid to use it. But damn if she didn't hit him anyways.
