Lia? Shhhhhhhh, it's okay Lia, I'm here, and I won't let him hurt you again." He hushes, kissing my forehead as my body convulses in sobs. I want to stop crying but the more I fight the harder it becomes to fight. I'm tired, so tired, my eyes are closing.
Sy squeezes me tighter as I drift off.
Boom!
"Police!"
I scream as men come running in with big guns, and mask on their faces, pointing them at us. "Put the guns down! There are only two children!" The one in front shouts behind his mask. Sy tenses and tries to back up the corner but finds no room to run to. His arms are trembling as they starve to hold me tighter to him. He never takes his eyes off the scary men as I cry and hide in his neck, his hand rubbing my back soothingly.
"We won't hurt you. It 's over."
