In a world where light is reigning over the shadows, what happens when the shadows start to... Fight back?
Sal'mia is a young light dancer, a breed of elf that is very similar to humans. Of course, they have no clue what humans are. She live's on her father's farm with him and her seriously ill younger brother. Her father, Tha'an, breed's a type of reptilian called Hedera Beastiea. They are huge, aerodynamic, and deadly. The farm is tended to by 'dirt eaters', slaves of the light dancers for many generations... Or, whatever's left of their species anyway. The species true name is Night crawler's, and there was a war between them and the light dancer's generations prior. At first it was believed they had entirely been wiped out, but it was later discovered that survivors still lingered in the deepest cavern system on Demarai, the Shindalai fissure. Little to no light is filtered through the volcanic rock, just how the night crawlers like it. Now you see, the Light dancer's just could not have that. Every last night crawler was dragged from the caverns, children and all, and they were made to work as slaves. Night crawler's are a grotesque species, with long and almost... Badger-like claw's on their hand's. Sal'mia had always been the only one in her household to treat the 'dirt eaters' with even a shred fo respect. But on one fateful day, as single Night crawler sentinel stood above the others and struck Tha'an, Sal'mia's father. And then he fled, taking one of the Hedera and flying off whilst Tha'an cowered on the ground where he lay. But before the night crawler took off into the sky he left with...Complicated parting word's. "Or so you all think..."
And that's what sent Sal'mia out on her journey through the most dangerous part's of Demarai in search of him- But little did she know, she was not the only one in search of someone... And the encounter would cause, to say the very least, tragedy.
"Upstairs!" I hear a yell and pounding footsteps. I crawl out of the window until I'm hanging from my hands. I take a breath. I let go.

Living in a small town with a single mother, Mia Glenn never expected anything special to come of her life. She never thought she would go on an adventure as harrowing as the stories she read. Until one day she narrowly avoids being kidnapped, discovering in the same day a whole new universe that she is supposedly a part of.
As she navigates the elven world of Earthe with the help of a particularly attractive elf boy, she learns secrets about her identity and her father's, of whom she believed had ditched her and her mom at an early age. Soon Mia discovers that peace isn't as easy as it seems, and while Earthe may be beautiful, there are dark parts that are creeping back to the light.
Even in a world of perfect beings such as elves, lies can be spun as precisely as an arrow can pierce a target, and evil can sneak up on you when you least expect it.
Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Safe to say she finds herself in one hell of an adventure.

TW: if you need a tw for fighting, violence, weapons, blood, death, etc. I would read with caution (I don't get into any gory details, but there are scenes w/ this) I will put tw's for the more violent scenes.
