The Humans would create objects that would collect Magic and become Artifacts. These artifacts have the power to wreak havoc on the entire universe if in the wrong hands. A group of Magicians banded together to collect these Artifacts and store them. Whenever the universe was in danger, a new team would form to become powerful Magicians and save the world. They are... Things to note about this story is that since I'm writing about real historical mythology, there is of course many, many, different variations, retellings and plots in existence for each one of the myths so I will do my best to comment on and add in variations when necessary, though in some cases I may just stick with the most common, my favorite or the most historically accurate depictions!
