[Completed] "Can the Light of a Guardian die? Rather, how? Is there some sort of mechanism that keeps us going? It's doubtingly a masterpiece that we have not yet learned as it stands there, watching over us. Is it, "It" that keeps us going? Or is it the fact that this question lingers me? ...much has not progressed since my disappearance. I Did What I Had To Do.

After the Vault Assault, Crimson and her friends find out that Eris Morn, the last of her fireteam, has arrived at the Tower and seeks help to destroy Crota's soul from existence. But something lurks in the shadows of the Darkness. Something no Guardian had laid eyes on... It lingers on Crimson's Light.

The Golden Age- When the Traveler arrived, a time of peace, prosperity, and infinite possibility sprouted from Earth. Mankind had launched hundreds- if not, thousands- of journeys across the system, connecting Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, even Mercury into an increasingly large web of life and technology. Fast forward to the end of the Golden Age- The Collapse and the Dark Age- alien races surge forth from outside the system- the Eliksni, the Hive, The Cabal, The Vex- all coming for the Traveler. He fought them all, sending his Light, his Power out, crushing the opposition. Then, He was crippled, retreating to a small town. Fast forward to the beginning of our age- The City Age- With His dying breath, The Traveler created the Ghost- small machines that can revive those capable of wielding the Light- His Power- and fight the Darkness. The Hunters scout out terrain, reclaim Dead Zones, and are the eyes and ears of the City- the Warlocks research the secrets of the fundamental ideas of the Darkness, predict future events, and enthrall themselves in the workings of the Light to understand it and to find new ways to work it into the Guardians arsenal- and finally, the Titans, Defenders of the Last City, and the burning lights of hope in the shadows. Honor-driven. Leaders. Warriors. The Protectors of Humanity. Deeply intertwined in the history of the Last City. What happens when one is reborn and becomes one of the few able to wield the flame of hope as his own, to burn off the shackles of darkness that have been crushing humanity's will and hope to dust, What happens when he experiences so much tragedy, so much pain, that he delves into the shadows? What happens, when he finally snaps? And what happens to his loved ones when they are forced to put him down? And what will his Legend become, if he himself threatens the safety of the Last City. --------------- Thanks go out to the wonderful girl that most would know as @ShadowPine for the Cover art. A Court of Wings and Fate by LeeraIvy

Some say that everyone's fate is already determined. If that's the case, Estelle Marzena is greatly disappointed with hers. Her greatest dream is to participate in the Illyrian Blood Rite and become a Carynthian warrior, like so many in her family. She has been training for the Rite her entire life, and yet, she continues to be told that she isn't ready. Estelle must find a way to prove her skills to her mentors so that she can prove her skills to the world, and she might have unwittingly stumbled across a way to do that. Being the bastard son of the High Lord of Dawn isn't something Mikael Anik takes lightly. Despite his parents' love and acceptance, Mikael continued to feel the pressure and unease of his people. His birth parents never married and he is a Peregryn halfbreed, the likes of which had never become a High Lord before. Mikael is devoted to proving himself to both his fathers and his people, but can he do that and deal with a surprisingly irritating Shadowsinger at the same time? Destiny: War Of Sol - Book Four by TheHale_
20 parts Ongoing
This story is the fourth in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. This saga is NOT intended to be 100% lore accurate, and should be taken as an alternate timeline from the main canon. The primary purpose of this fanfiction is to re-tell the story that takes place in Destiny and its sequel, Destiny 2, but with a twist. The twist being that the playable "Guardian" character, who is known to be a blank-slate one-man-army amongst a roster of developed characters, is instead a team of multiple Guardians who all have their own backstories and personalities. The plot of this saga will follow the plot of the game its based on closely, but not exactly. There are a number of twists such as the main cast, as well as several other plot points, for the sake of originality, as well as to serve as an interesting narrative for those who are aware of Destiny's plot. Primarily, this story will follow the perspective of a Titan-class Guardian named Chrytor-6, but is told from the third-person, allowing for perspectives to change whether it be scene to scene or book to book, as our main character, Chrytor-6, will not always be the focus.

The Last Flame

20 parts Complete Mature

Christian looked down from the creature looming before him at the gun in his holster. Engraved on its side were the words, "Until the last flame dies and all words have been spoken" "It's time to draw guardian, one last time." The hunter looked up at his ghost then looked back down again, "Ya know, I always thought it was called 'The Last Word' because it ensured the wielder he'd get it, but I think I understand now... It's my Last Word." And with that, he put his hand on his holster and stared death in the face, without fear or hesitation. He glanced back at his ghost before it disappeared, "Then let's make it one hell of a draw."
