I'm 17 year's old living in the city, where crime never sleep's. Probably wondering how I mange, I do too. But trust me I've had my fair share of run-ins with assholes, but I've learned to grow a thick skin. I rarely let people in besides my best friend, Chris. We've known each other since we were in diapers. We know everything about each other, but what he doesn't know is that I might be in love with him. And I say 'i might' because I really don't know what I'm feeling. Like cmon, he's my best friend hella cliche right. So yeah, only time will tell, what the hell I'm feeling.
"Listen, guys, I just wanna get home." One of the guys tried to grab my bag but I pulled back and held it tight.
"Don't we all, little lady." Did he? Oh hell no. I was about to say something, then one of them pulled out something shiny.
"I really don't want, any trouble tonight." One of them lunged at me, but then out of nowhere. Someone came literally, falling from the sky. It was a girl, and she was dressed in all black. And she wore a mask, so I couldn't see her face. She turned to me and said.
"RUN!"

I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what.
