Claire was just a normal girl, she was getting good grades, was the star of the volleyball team, and had lots of friends. Then her dad started drinking and nothing was ever the same. Her dad starts abusing her and her mom doesn't have a clue that it has been happening for almost a year now. Her family is on their way home from the family Christmas party and they hit a patch of ice and their car rolls over into a ditch. Claire hits her head so hard against the window that she instantly blacks out. She wakes up confused as to why she is in the hospital, and finds out that the man they are calling her dad has gone to jail and the women they are calling her mom is dead. She is sent to go and live with her uncle that lives in London which she has never met. Her life has changed once again and hopefully it's for the better.
