Asami is a mermaid, daughter of the King of the Eastern Reef. She is betrothed to the Prince of the Western Reef to make peace and prevent her kingdom from going bankrupt.
Korra is a winged humanoid,-or Wingèd- living with her adopted Parents and training to be a Master Wingèd Guardian of Nani with her two best friends Opal and Jinora.
(**IMPORTANT**)
In this AU, Korra is adopted by Tenzin, after the Southern Tribe of Wingèds is destroyed.
Jinora is Korra's age and Opal is staying with them in the Tree Temple (Air Temple). Pema is a human, and Mako is a Merperson like Asami.
There are no benders, only Humans, Merpeople, and Wingèds, but the nations, tribes, etc. all stay somewhat the same.
