The Medieval Romance, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is filled with symbolic meanings and motifs, such as the reoccurrence of colours such as Red and Green. Attempting to determine the meaning and connections was the colour is no easy task. The tale is not easily displayed for any casual reading to pick up on its significance. Professor Santanu  Banerjee has elucidate the story in his usual lucid style.
