Upon having been broken up with by his girlfriend Julia, due to being a cheating alcoholic who refuses to take his anti-depressants Adam is destroyed. Even more so than he originally was.

That night he meets a young woman named Freya. Freya lost her brother to depression. After hearing Adam drunkenly explain his feelings of depression and suicide to her she becomes hell-bent on helping him get better.

Together they challenge each others emotional boundaries and begin to break them down, developing strong feelings for one another that they are unsure as to how to handle.
