Christopher Knight is a soldier, through and through. His husband, Alex, is killed by a mysterious man, aforementioned man also kidnapped his son. Christopher awakes after Alex is dead and Shaun is gone, he is thrust into an unfamiliar world that was once his home. He is trying to find his son and along the way reunites with family members and descendants of old friends.
The first four chapter titles, have nothing to do with the actual seasons, they are just telling emotional, and physical, states.
