Mother Earth, My Dearest.

The asteroid spoke to the debris
that slowly lingered throughout historically
the debris was wise, whereas the asteroid was a new.
"I am so fascinated," he spoke calmly to the debris.
"I am very intrigued."
The debris stole words from stories when she spoke,
Every word that left her mouth was another current of thought.
"I've seen the world, I've been the world."
The asteroid glowed a vibrant brown,
a degrading colour he would say
but a beautiful thing to the debris.
"I am part of what was a beautiful nation."
Every inch of the debris stood out,
although broken she was complete.
"If the descendants of myself could hear my stories,
and understand my significance.
They wouldn't be proud,
as they are not redundant either."
The asteroid listened to the wise words,
and followed her every move
until the debris could not go further.
"I have swallowed this vaccuum for many centuries.
With many along the way to hear of my ventures."
He was the rain, lower from the storm.
"I was the revolution of December. The growth of May. The sun of September."
She was the whole of earth,
she was the life of the asteroid.
The asteroid could not stop;
for if he did he would not be able to leave.
The debris turned to dust,
and the asteroid was gone
to continue the story of Earth
and how the mother stole its heart.
