Black eyes like sin stared unfazed at the room in front of them, a wild change from sanity. The first time Kol had met Jasey they had been a bright, shining, emerald green, now dead and dull and dark. He was never supposed to see her like that, no one was supposed to see her like that, the Order wanted to make sure of it.
The breath caught in his throat as black vines of death crawled up her skin like veins, connecting directly to her heart that beat so fast and hard he thought she might die.
He wasn't expecting when she spoke, her voice strong and unwavering, "Go. Before they see you."
