The Hideaway

In a world filled with Mystics and Undesirables it is hard to keep anything a secret, especially from the Overlord. Magic is scarce in Macabre, but it is used to rule over the Undesirables who were unfortunately born mere mortals. Twenty-four year old Dahlia Tennama was born with this rare magic, yet she chooses to conceal it. She hides away with the Undesirables and keeps her powers a secret from everyone around her, including Lucca, her closest companion. She lives in constant fear of being discovered and worries if found out, she will be forced into the Overlord's arsenal.

Many Mystics in Macabre have magical abilities, but no one has more than one. No one but Dahlia that is. Dahlia has the ability to control every one of the natural elements. Although this makes her the most powerful being in Macabre, she choses to ignore her given abilities for fear of repeating her past mistakes. What will happen once her abilities are discovered? Will her outbursts gain her the attention of the Overlord, or will she be able to escape before being captured? Dahlia will have to either use her natural abilities or lose them forever. She will soon make the greatest decision of her life, including magic, men, and deception.
