Elizabeth Ross is the new fifteen year old girl in a small town in Maine and at her highschool. No one knows why she would appear so suddenly on the last day of school before Christmas Break, but they will soon. Some students don't think too highly of her, considering she dresses in an old- fashioned way in the twenty-first century. A couple of her classmates decided to pull a prank to scare her. The stunt didn't end so well, considering it ended in a tragic death (not only Elizabeth's, but the boys'). On her last dying breathe she cursed that she shall have her revenge. She plots it shall be the boy's friends. The group of teenagers left are trying to figure out what happened and why she is doing this, without dying in doing so.

Her sister decides she wants to enrol in a public school, something she has never done before, to know what it's like to be a normal high school student. What she doesn't know is that Elena has spent the last two years of her life hiding her worst fear from her family. She has secrets no one knows about, secrets she's been hiding to keep those around her safe. However, what Elena least expects is for her two worlds to collide all because of two boys she meets at school. * * * Elena headed towards the door. She was about to turn the doorknob when his next words froze her in place. "How do you think you'll sister will react if she finds out what you do?" asked Lucas. She slowly turned to face the two with a raised brow, "Meaning?" "Think about it," urged Cole, "How do you think everyone would react if they found out what you do during your spare time, especially your sister." She narrowed her eyes ."Are you blackmailing me?" she asked crossing her arms and raising her chin. "No, I never said that." Cole held up his hands yet grinning mischievously. "We're just saying that it would be in your best interest, along with ours if you joined us." shrugged Lucas. "You can't prove anything," she bluffed. A devious smile speared across Cole's face while Lucas grinned wickedly, "Oh, we both know you don't believe that." ------------------- The events and places are completely fictional along with the characters. Just flunking class isn't dramatic enough, though. Des plans to get booted in the most spectacular manner possible, just to make sure her parents' social circle will never let them live it down. Her scheming, unfortunately, encounters three roadblocks within the first week of class. The first: Exie Quinnell, teacher's pet, whip-smart, and unreasonably attractive. Neither girl intended to end up on a project together, but their teacher deemed Des in need of a little... remediation. The second: There are things about Melliford Academy that none of the teachers will talk about, even when pressed. Things that should be easy answers.
