"Let go"

I sounded much more confident then I was actually feeling. Hurt flashed through his beautiful eyes, confusion and sadness were edged into his face. Each second felt like a stab to my heart. I had to leave him, I had to leave the one man I loved, the one man who changed my life.

"But why?"

"Because I don't want to see you anymore"

Once I said that he physically took a shaky step back, as if I hit him.

"No! I can't accept that! I-"

"You have to! That's reality! I don't want you in my life! Just leave me alone!"

Taking this opportunity I turned on my heels and walked in the opposite direction. Walking away from my salvation, my happiness, my first love.

Tears were flowing down my face but I had to control myself from sobbing with all my heart. But I couldn't not as long as I was here.

I was almost into the woods when a strong warm, wrapped protectively around my wrist.

I turned around to see him. His face had shock and surprise. He probably saw my eyes and noticed I was balling. He gripped my shoulders tightly and gazed right into me.

"Never, I will never let you go"
