Liam White is a 21 year old jobless man, with a child he can never see and two, same-gender parents that don't bother with him anymore.

On a night out with a couple of friends, he bumps into the familiar face of a teacher at his old school, Ethan Harris.

Ethan Harris - age 29 - lives in a posh condo at the top of a 32 story building in New York. After quitting his teaching job, he takes on a job as a chef at an expensive restaurant. On a night off, he meets some old friends at the new club near his apartment. There, he meets his old student again.
