Ryn was born sick. Her birth mother couldn't handle it and abandoned her at the hospital after only a month. Ryn found a new home when she was 2 and her adoptive parents give her everything she could ever need. She finds out she is dying 5 months before her 14th birthday. The cancer is spreading and the doctor gives her 4 months to live. Deciding it would be easier to push her family away, and die alone, than to know she will leave her family with empty hearts, she tries to separate from her Church and family.
Breyden is Ryn's cousin. He refuses to let Ryn die the way she has chosen to. During a visit he finds her journal with a list she had made and given up on. Breyden recruits the help of his family, Church, neighbors and classmates, to grant every wish on her list before she dies. He wants her to die happy and loved, rather than alone.
