In the land of old there once was a tale of mighty beasts that terrorized towns and stole princesses. Many tales actually. And this, is not one of them. Much inspired by Beauty and the Beast, (for you people who still love Disney, I applaud you and wish you happiness. ;D) this happens to be a tale of dragons and dragonslayers, set in whatever hell kinda time where there are villages, dragons and night clubs. This is very confusing even to me, so I bid you caution and hope that you enjoy it. Some things might be insinuating some suggestives themes so BEWARE, DONT LIKE DONT READ AND PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU. A RANGER IS BORN by Eshl1111

First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did. Perhaps, with enough comments & likes, he'll be inspired to write more chapters. THX

CURSED KINGDOM- A Darker Steamier Version of Beauty and the Beast by ajhickey

A long time ago, lived a handsome prince who ruled over the beautiful kingdom of Greyson. One stormy night, he upset a powerful witch, who then cursed him and his kingdom. Everyone was trapped and could not leave Greyson, and the king was transformed into a monster. The only way to break the curse, is for the king to find true love. But who could truly love a monster. Annie finally gets the nerve to leave a bad relationship. With nothing but an old truck and camper, she starts driving to what she hopes is a new beginning. Somehow, she ends up in the cursed lands of Greyson. She finds she is trapped in a world where time stands still, and magic exist. At first it seems like a paradise. But like they say, when it seems too good to be true, most of the time it is. When there is a misunderstanding, the king accuses Annie of stealing and he kicks her out of the castle. Done with feeling rejected and alone, Annie decides it's time to find a way out. As she tries to find her way out, she starts to learn more about the curse and its people. She also starts to realize maybe the king is not as big of a monster as she thought. Even though most of Greyson is beautiful, something evil is lurking. Hopefully they learn about the threat before it is too late. This is a darker, steamier version of Beauty and the Beast. Strong sexual content, not suitable for anyone under 18.

One autumn day that would change the boy's life forever. For on this day, he met Lilly, a beautiful girl with an ugly secret. A secret that threatens to destroy her if she cannot find a way to break the curse forced upon her. Filled with secrets, lies, and love, this short story captures the essence of the original fairy tale with an entirely new twist. ~~~ "Hello, my name is Lilly. What's yours? Is that your mother? I only just came to live here with Ivy, and I don't know many people that come to visit her yet. Do you come often? If you do, we could be friends! Would you like that? To be friends? Why, don't you speak at all? And you should really close your mouth; it is impolite to stare like that." Ivy called out to her from the doorway of the cottage. "Lilly, if you want him to speak, you must first cease speaking." Both of the women were laughing at the children, and Lilly blushed at the comment. "Sorry! I just haven't seen anyone my age yet, and I got excited, which happens rather easily. It reminds me a bit of puppies I've read about that just get so excited that they- oops. I'm doing it again. Sorry," she said with a shy smile. Adam, who had been standing there staring, just as she had pointed out, finally found his voice long enough to tell her his name. She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! Be back soon!" ~~~

You all know the old fairy-tale's where an evil and cruel dragon kidnaps the princess because of her beauty and then knights in shinning armour arrives to save her. After saving her they get the half of the kingdom and marry the princess and lives happily ever after.. But this story is very different... There was once were a beautiful, kind princess named Lydia who got engaged to a prince, but the princess wasn't in love with him at all. One day as she was sleeping peacefully in her bed with her window opened, a dragon named Lithon attacked the kingdom. In it's attack on the kingdom the dragon flew to the castle and was going to destroy it from pure hatred for the royal family, but then he saw the princess through her open window. The dragon fell for her beauty immediately, so he decided to kidnap her, it would also be the perfect revenge on the royal family. So the dragon took the princess to his place, the princess was of course not happy about that and she did freak out. She didn't wanted to live with a dragon! But then, the dragon reached it's house and he changed into a handsome young man! Even though its forbidden for them to be together, the princess slowly fell for the dragon and the dragon fell for her.. but how will this fairy tale end..? like every other, where the prince comes and slay the dragon and gets the girl, or will it be different this time? This I wrote for my little brother who is a techno-freak but also is obsessed with dragons, so here is a futuristic world where dragons still exist. To stay true to the fantasy, however, the beasts are capable of human speech with their mouths unlike those in my favorite fantasy-dragon world from the Inheritance Series.
