In the land of old there once was a tale of mighty beasts that terrorized towns and stole princesses. Many tales actually. And this, is not one of them. Much inspired by Beauty and the Beast, (for you people who still love Disney, I applaud you and wish you happiness. ;D) this happens to be a tale of dragons and dragonslayers, set in whatever hell kinda time where there are villages, dragons and night clubs. This is very confusing even to me, so I bid you caution and hope that you enjoy it. Some things might be insinuating some suggestives themes so BEWARE, DONT LIKE DONT READ AND PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU. A RANGER IS BORN by Eshl1111

First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did. Perhaps, with enough comments & likes, he'll be inspired to write more chapters. THX

CURSED KINGDOM- A Darker Steamier Version of Beauty and the Beast by ajhickey

A long time ago, lived a handsome prince who ruled over the beautiful kingdom of Greyson. One stormy night, he upset a powerful witch, who then cursed him and his kingdom. Everyone was trapped and could not leave Greyson, and the king was transformed into a monster. The only way to break the curse, is for the king to find true love. But who could truly love a monster. Annie finally gets the nerve to leave a bad relationship. With nothing but an old truck and camper, she starts driving to what she hopes is a new beginning. Somehow, she ends up in the cursed lands of Greyson. She finds she is trapped in a world where time stands still, and magic exist. At first it seems like a paradise. But like they say, when it seems too good to be true, most of the time it is. When there is a misunderstanding, the king accuses Annie of stealing and he kicks her out of the castle. Done with feeling rejected and alone, Annie decides it's time to find a way out. As she tries to find her way out, she starts to learn more about the curse and its people. She also starts to realize maybe the king is not as big of a monster as she thought. Even though most of Greyson is beautiful, something evil is lurking. Hopefully they learn about the threat before it is too late. This is a darker, steamier version of Beauty and the Beast. Strong sexual content, not suitable for anyone under 18.

Just another day in Beastworld... or is it? This story is a work in progress and I haven't exactly decided on where I wish to take the plot, but I will be sticking with some of the expected themes for the Beastworld e.g. There will be a female protagonist, hot beastmen and very likely some drama.

The Path of the Adventurer by MetalGearTom

Here is an epic fantasy story set in my D&D world that I wrote not only for fans of RPGs and fantasy in general, but for all my friends. This story about my character Erion, a young elven warrior; and his many allies and enemies in the kingdom of Briarbeth. In this vast story, you'll meet daring heroes, joy-bringing mages, ruthless orcs and more. This novel has a multitude of inspirations and influences, chief among them being Dungeons and Dragons, The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, and The Legend of Zelda. I even take cues from anime such as Little Witch Academia, and favorite video games like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and various JRPGs like Chrono Trigger. Look closely, and you may find subtle references to some of the aforementioned franchises at different points in the book :) Just a little warning: The story, especially the first couple of chapters, starts off with a several common fantasy tropes and clichés at first glance (e.g. elves and orcs, an old wizard with a pointy hat and a grey beard, taking treasure from dragon etc.), but it will grow into something a bit more unique as the story progresses. Please forgive my usage of Tolkienesque tropes, as I came up with the concept of the series when I was only fourteen (At the time I was making it in the style of old school fantasy, so what can you expect :p). Even I, as the creator will say it is cliched or stereotypical in some aspects. I only refuse to change them due to spending a lot of time with them during my high school years (And tbh i love elves/dwarves/orcs fantasy). With that aside, I hope that you will love my fantasy universe full of adventure and lore. Now sit back, relax, and embrace yourself for a magical adventure with Erion and his friends! Listened to Twilight Force, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Power Quest, and various other power metal bands while I was writing this :) (Character drawings found at the end of the story)

Her life had been hard, she had been in a foster care until she aged up, then she took whatever job she could work, times were tough but she managed to get a job on a construction site and had been working a very hard labour job for five years, she had tried to make friends but there just was no time, her life revolved around working so she could live but she spent her short time reading her stories, there she could escape her hardship and enter a new world, never would she had thought that she would really enter a new world, a world that was just as deadly as it was beautiful, she transmigrated into one of the story she had read beauty and the beasts, unfortunately or fortunately she did not transmigrate into the female lead but the mermaid Qin, they only things she wanted to do was to survive and steal the males she wanted from the female lead, she could find a new harem since she wanted hers.

This I wrote for my little brother who is a techno-freak but also is obsessed with dragons, so here is a futuristic world where dragons still exist. To stay true to the fantasy, however, the beasts are capable of human speech with their mouths unlike those in my favorite fantasy-dragon world from the Inheritance Series. Please enjoy and comment as much as you can, the only reason this is here is because my little brother next wants me to make him a sequel to this and I'm at a loss for ideas. Feel free to point out any little mistakes as my writing speed tends to make things a bit messy and it was too much to proof read all in one sitting. So please, as I said, enjoy exploring my growing fantasy world from the point of view of the little monster it was written for, and comment.
