Late one night two teenagers witness a strange light descending from the sky near their town. Then mysterious events start happening which all lead to an old abandoned mine. Someone is doing something secretively down there and are going to great efforts to make sure no one finds out what it is. But Josh and Katie don't give up, and soon find themselves in a very dangerous situation. Science Fiction/Mystery Note: I wrote this story when I was in high school. My target audience was 10 to 20 yrs, but I hope readers of any age will enjoy. It has been through two major edits since I wrote it to bring it up to a (hopefully) high standard. Only this day in 2020 they start to uncover a hidden past which they seem to unknowingly unlock releasing a "portal" for some of the darkest spirits from Polaroid photos they had been taken which leave secret messages behind and now has a entity attached to them all. they experience nightmares based on true events which happen throughout their days of being seriously haunted by a "psychic" woman who was murdered by her husband who is now seeking her revenge and wants to be set free from the dark world.

A couple are walking home through a park. With the father is carrying their five years old daughter in his arms when a silent hammer wielding man attacks them. The frenzy attack carry's on until both adults are dead.The child is knocked out with blow to her head. Thirty minutes later she wakes up looking for her parents. She see them covered in blood and screams out mommy and daddy. The neighbors across the streets hear her . And call the police.

This is a short story based on a nightmare I had. When four local youths go missing, the police try to entangle a mistery. Will they find the killer? Some gruesome imagery and depressing scenes

A dead body is found. A cop does whatever he can to solve it to enjoy a normal life.
